Deposits & Withdrawals

ARKONIX vaults settle in epochs — batched settlement windows processed by the vault operator at NAV. This page walks through what that means in practice.

The lifecycle at a glance

Deposit (async vault): request deposit → epoch settles → claim shares
Deposit (sync vault): deposit → shares mint immediately
Withdraw (all vaults): request redeem → epoch settles → claim assets

Every request moves through three states, and the app surfaces each one:

State Meaning What you do
Pending Your request is queued for the next epoch Wait — or cancel
Claimable The epoch settled; your shares/assets are reserved for you Claim them with one transaction
Claimed Assets or shares are in your wallet Done

Depositing

  1. Choose a vault and enter an amount. The app checks your balance and, for a first deposit, asks for a one-time token approval.
  2. Confirm the deposit transaction in your wallet.
  3. Sync-deposit vaults: your shares mint immediately — you're done.
  4. Async vaults: your request enters the queue as pending.
  5. When the epoch settles, your position becomes claimable — one more transaction mints your shares at the epoch's share price.

Deposit with other tokens

On supported networks the deposit panel can zap: swap another token (e.g. ETH) into the vault's deposit asset and deposit in a single flow, with a configurable slippage tolerance.

Deposit with fiat

Where enabled, the fiat on-ramp lets verified users fund deposits by bank transfer; the flow includes a standard KYC step handled by the on-ramp provider.

Withdrawing

  1. On your portfolio or the vault page, choose Withdraw and enter the number of shares (or the amount) to redeem.
  2. Confirm the redeem request — it enters the queue as pending. The app shows an estimated value at the current share price.
  3. After the epoch settles, claim your assets. The claim amount is fixed at the epoch's settlement price, not the price at request time.

Cancelling a request

Changed your mind while a request is still pending?

  • Redeem requests can be cancelled on any vault.
  • Deposit requests can be cancelled on fully asynchronous vaults (sync deposits settle instantly, so there is nothing to cancel).

A cancellation itself settles at the next epoch: cancel → wait → claim your assets (or shares) back. Until you claim, the app shows the cancellation as pending.

Timing expectations

  • Requests are batched, so your transaction confirms quickly but settlement waits for the epoch. The vault page shows epoch timing and the app displays a countdown where available.
  • One request of each kind is active per vault at a time — top up or adjust by cancelling and re-requesting, or wait for settlement.
  • Nothing expires: claimable balances remain claimable until you collect them.

Why epochs at all?

Batched settlement at NAV protects depositors in the vault: everyone in an epoch gets the same price, strategies don't have to hold idle cash to honor instant exits, and large flows can't force disorderly unwinds. It is the on-chain version of the settlement discipline traditional funds use.
