Returns & Fees

Reading the return figures

Every vault shows four headline numbers. They do not all mean the same kind of thing:

Figure What it is Annualized?
7d return Change in share price over the last 7 days No — cumulative
30d return Change in share price over the last 30 days No — cumulative
90d return Change in share price over the last 90 days No — cumulative
All-time Return since the vault launched Yes, once the vault is ≥ 30 days old

Cumulative is not APY

A 30-day return of 1.0% means the share price rose 1.0% over that month — not 1.0% per year, and not 12% per year either unless that pace continues. Only the all-time figure is annualized. Comparing a vault's 7d cumulative number against another product's APY is comparing different units.

A dash (—) is not zero

Young vaults haven't accumulated enough price history to compute every window. When a figure shows —, the honest answer is "not enough data yet", which is very different from "0%".

Where the numbers come from

Returns are derived from the vault's share price, which is published on-chain with each NAV update. The performance chart on each vault page plots that same series — you can independently verify it against the on-chain share-price events listed in the vault's transaction history, or via the public API.

Headline figures refresh daily; charts use finer-grained live data, so the last point of a chart may differ slightly from the headline number. That is expected, not an error.

Fees

Vaults may charge two fees, always disclosed on the vault page:

Fee Typical form Charged on
Management fee A percentage per year Assets under management
Performance fee A percentage of gains Positive performance

Two rules to remember:

  • Published returns are already net of fees. The share price reflects fee accrual — you never need to subtract fees from what you see.
  • No hidden deposit/withdrawal fees from ARKONIX. You pay network gas for your own transactions; epoch settlement gas is not charged to you per request.

Some vaults have no fee configuration at all — their page will show fees as not configured rather than 0%, because "no fee manager" and "a fee manager set to zero" are different statements.

Estimated yield on the portfolio page

The portfolio page shows a weighted average return across your positions and an estimated monthly yield extrapolated from it. These are estimates for orientation — settlement always happens at actual NAV, and variable strategy performance means realized results will differ.

Risk disclosure

Past performance is not indicative of future results. The value of your deposit may decrease. DeFi protocols carry smart contract and liquidity risk.
